The design and consultancy team consists of three experienced managers, holding a combined 120 years’ experience in the field of manufacturing and architectural metalwork.

Director & Engineer
Nigel Snell
BSc in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Thermodynamics and 50 years’ experience in engineering – 31 of them in the specialist field of architectural metalwork.
Projects overseen include:
- Restoration and conversion of gates and railings to The British Museum.
- Design, manufacture and installation of ornate panelling and operating shutters to Covent Garden.
- Design, manufacture and installation of replica lighting columns, The Mall, Westminster.
- Restoration and conversion of ornate railings to The Queen’s Chapel, Westminster.
Design & Manufacture
Nigel Crimp
40 years’ experience in the design, manufacture, restoration and installation of architectural metalwork.
Projects overseen include:
- Ornate replica staircase to Custom House, Cardiff.
- Restoration of 260 metal windows to Cardiff Crown Court.
Materials & Structures
Neil Phillips
Qualified as a specialist in geological materials, with involvement in The Channel Tunnel project and projects in Hong Kong. Also experienced in quarrying of special stone and the design, manufacture and restoration of steel structures.
Projects overseen include:
- Restoration of steel and cast-iron windows to The Baily Building, Glastonbury.
- Restoration of external railings and steel windows to Old College, Aberystwyth.
